Snowfall

for Organ

This work was Premiered in 2004 by Carson Cooman

Snowfall is based on two contrasting ideas.  One is melodic and lyrical and represents a pretty postcard-like snowfall.  The other uses descending pentatonic scales and “white” note tone clusters to depict a more blizzard like snowfall.  These two ideas take turns vying for the listener’s attention until in the end a soft white snowfall covers the entire music and ends the piece.
